A case of realistic indulgence.
If it is the objective of realistic art to improve upon reality, then I believe the present painting does so on at least one front with respect to the reference ([link]), namely by getting rid of the ultracorny 80s earrings in the original and exposing the neck, hence improving on the image's sexiness which is of course the point in painting pinups.
One could submit that dropping the pants is also an improvement, yet I anticipate that opinions may vary on that topic.
I am happy since I got here without any filters or spectacular brushes - all handpainted with single brush of the oily variety.
